Write for us

Local Public Dispatch welcomes clear, original proposals about reading local public information: the records, language, meeting papers and presentation choices that help people follow shared decisions.

What to propose

Send a focused idea that explains one useful distinction, reading habit or document feature. Strong pitches name the reader, the question the piece will answer and why the subject can be handled with careful, general examples.

What makes a good contribution

Use precise language, separate what a document states from what a reader might infer, and make limitations visible. We welcome varied perspectives and accessible explanations; we do not seek unsupported claims, promotional copy or advice that depends on local rules.

How to send a pitch

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short summary, the proposed format and any relevant writing samples or links you wish to share. A proposal is not a promise of publication.

Our point of view

Clarity starts with the document

We look closely at how public information is put together, so readers can follow what it says without mistaking a notice for a decision or a summary for the full record.
